Hello and welcome to the 2013 Advent Calendar Challenge!

The Advent Calendar Challenge is a fun yearly competition, in 2013 players were invited to guess what the pictures behind the windows on my advent calendar will be each day. Points were awarded (from 1 point on December 1st all the way up to 24 on Christmas Eve) for correctly guessing the picture, and the winner is simply the person who gets the most points over the course of the competition. Simple. Easy. Fun.

There were a couple of significant changes for 2013!

• for the first time, players HAD to re-submit a guess after scoring points, as scoring players had their guess wiped this year. They could, of course, re-set the same guess if desired. This was to deter players from trying to set a lucky one-off guess and win despite never visiting the website again!
• Additionally, guesses were chosen from a 36 item list - the list contained all items that occured in the calendar (however many times they occur, they are listed only once) and however many items that were required to inflate the list to 36. This was to help mitigate against a random calendar destroying the competition!
